Reflections...

The presents have been wrapped...

decorations hung with care
the gingerbread house has been made...

and
we seem to be ready...
*
The past week has be already filled
with the hustle and bustle of the season

there has been a Christmas dinner with family
and an evening with special friends...

there has been shopping
present exchanges
there has been life
and death
and too much wine

tis the season;
as they say...

and the big show has yet to arrive...

truth is
it's late right now
and I should be in bed
but this week needed a voice
even if it is a little one

Tomorrow is a big day...
It is a day of celebrating Alice
I will be photographing
the days events
it is a service I offer
It may seem strange, but memorials are a great place to capture the realness in people
people are changed by grief...softened
and a memorial is the next thing to a wedding
that can bring together so much family in one place.
It will be an honour.

The evening will bring a gathering of another kind
some of who will meet for the first time
around the flame
we will gather to release
we will gather to unite
we with gather to make room
for what is to come
*
And then
later
when the work is finished
when the last client leaves
I will share with you what this season means to me
this season of
Love

Hope

Joy

and Peace

Storytelling continued...The End

2:20am Dec. 17, 2011
Alice passed on from this world to the next.
She leaves behind
her husband
2 sons
1 daughter
2 daughter in laws
1 son in law
4 granddaughters
2 grandsons
and a tribe of family and friends
who loved her
and will miss her steadfast ways

a tear drop of her story found

brave
brave is the word that keeps coming to mind
you were so
brave
beautiful
vulnerable
a testimony
thank you Alice
thank you

Calling in The Tribe....

Calling in the Tribe!
Who: YOU, and if you wish, your circle, tribe, family, or village.
What: A fire ceremony, to release the old year and shift up into the new.
Where: In your backyard firepit, on a bonfire beach, around your fireplace, (even in your kitchen sink if you can make it scout-safe with a fireproof container).
When: Winter Solstice, December 22nd, 2011.
Why: We release what no longer serves us on the Winter Solstice, because it is the darkest day of the year. We let go so that we can step freely into what is waiting for us, as the light begins to grow brighter with each day. We're doing it as an extended community to raise the energy level of letting go, together!  (written by Pixie Campbell)

This is a chance to let go of those things that do not serve us anymore...in a tangible way. Letting go of the shadow  in ourselves allow more room for the Light.
Things like.....

Fear into Courage
Not Enoughness into Plenty
Old patterns of behavior into fresh responses and vulnerability
Anger into Cleansing Breath
Sorrow into Hope
Grief into Rebirth
Loneliness into Circle and Support
Disempowerment into Confident Action
Creative Dormancy into Full Expression
Superficiality into True Being
Masks into Love of What Really Is
Shortsightedness into Eagle's Vision
Limitations into Possibility
Projections into Conscious Ownership
Stuckness into Movement
Depression into Light
Bondage into Freedom
Control into a Loose, Flexible Grasp
Obsession into Letting It Be
Anxiety into Flow
Fragmentations into Wholeness
Duality into Oneness
Shame into Acceptance of the Processes of Life
Mistrust into Trust
Judgment into Allowing...c/o Pixie Campbell

This ceremony will be attended by women across the globe and  hosted by the Sweet Pixie Campbell.
